The Bure Valley Railway runs along the boundary of the farm on which the site is located. This tourist
attraction transports visitors from Wroxham to the historic town of Aylsham via Buxton and Coltishall,
offering a journey through picturesque countryside. Visitors to the site can quite easily hop on the
train from the village of Coltishall which is within walking distance of the site.
Coltishall itself is a bustling riverside village and is sometimes referred to as the "Gateway to the Broads"
hosting an array of amenities including five public houses offering good quality locally sourced food as well
as a fish and chip shop, Chinese takeaway and a Thai restaraunt located opposite the thatched village church
of St John the Baptist which stands in large grounds. The church is usually open to enable visitors to view the
inside and the lovely stained glass windows. The village also hosts a well stocked village shop, post office and
petrol station. |
